As far as I can tell, the only thing not working correctly is the x-rack on the mechanical stage; teeth are missing so it is jumpy. I installed a 6 volt 10 watt lamp in the socket and it light up and was nicely controlled by the pot. The little pol filter control on top moves but no filter or holder is present. It has a substage swing-in phase annuli. The coarse/ fine focus system moves nicely, the 5-place nose piece moves as intended with positive stops at all positions, field diaphragm moves freely and is not contaminated with oil, and finally the substage condenser carrier moves correctly. Lubrication is not an issue on this microscope frame. There is very slight surface wear to the stage platform, almost imperceptible. This unit is loaded with good parts and could be easily be transformed into a working unit. Our company fairly represents the condition of products listed on Ebay and stand behind the products sold.
