Product Description

LOW INVENTORY ITEM - SUBJECT TO PRIOR SALE
Zeiss GFL standard pol microscope with lots of accessories including a beautiful maple carrying case, with lock, accessory tray and the original key.

There are 5 Pol objectives: 2.5X, 10X, 16X, 50X, and 100X oil, all are 160mm T.L.

There are three compensators: Quartz plate, red I, in slider (47-37-00)- full-wave plate, Quartz wedge I-III order (47-37-20), and Mica quarter-wave plate in slider (47-37-10). The Quartz plate red I and the Mica quarter-wave plate have mild to moderate seperations. The condenser is a flip top type with diaphragm, 1.3 n.a. marked in red indicating strain free glass.

A filter polarizer is mounted on the condenser carrier and can be swung in and out and is graduated at 15 degree intervals and can be rotated 210 degrees.

The binocular head is a pol head with one eyepiece tube slotted to accept the KPL 8X cross-hair focusing eyepiece. Two sets of eyepieces are included, KPL 8X pol with cross hair focusing and a fixed KPL 8X also, a fixed C8X and a focusing Pol 8X with cross-hair reticle.

The stage is a ball bearing rotating stage marked with 360 degree increments.

The intermediate tube has an analyzer that can be rotated 180 degrees, its glass has a slight bit of seperation at the periphry.

The system has an illuminator of 6 volts 15 watts with transformer and 2 bulbs. Included is a straight monocular tube with a camera attachment system. All that is needed for this system to function is a camera back with a shutter mechanism. Included is a 33mm blue filter and a large pol filter.

The unit focuses freely, all controls feel like they work, the illuminator lights, all glass is free from fungus, dust, scratches, and element seperations (except where noted) and the binocular body is in alignment. Included but not pictured is a 20 page instruction manual on compact disk. Even with the few minor defects, this system is still highly useable, extremely collectable, and hard to find in this complete condition! This microscope and case will weigh 40 pounds when packed.
