Product Description
Zeiss IM-35 Inverted microscope equipped with Hoffman Modulation Contrast that has undergone a complete lubrication, adjustment, cleaning and alignment-- it is ready for use.It features binocular body, modulation contrast condenser, Hoffman Modulation 10X modulator and a 32X modulator, Zeiss/ Hoffman 10X objective, Zeiss/ Hoffman 32X LD objective, 12 volt 60 watt centerable lamphouse with tip-in frosted filter, two each contrast control polarizers, spare Zeiss 12 volt 60 watt lamp, 2-each Olympus CHKW 10X/18 widefield eyepieces, and instructions on the use of Hoffman Modulation System. The cosmetic condition is very good with a little discoloration of the coarse focus knobs. Two small defects are present that do not interfere with the operation of the microscope. The transformer power intensity meter glass protector has a hairline crack and the 10X modulator protector glass also has a hairline crack. This crack is in a place on the modulator that is not in the light path and therefore the image does not suffer. The diatom images were taken through the eyepiece with a consumer grade camera at both objective magnifications. This a marvelous microscope with super high definition modulation contrast second only to DIC. Thanks for Looking!
