Olympus First Order Red Compensating Polarizer used to determine the difference between Gout (uric acid crystals) and Pseudogout (calcium pyrophosphate) in synovial fluids.

This kit is intended to be used with the Olympus BH2 and BHS series of 160mm tube length microscopes.  Included are the polarizer, analyzer, intermediate piece, and 1st order red compensator.  The unit will add 1.25X magnification to the optical system.  Included are instructions for installation and use.  This polarizer may have some uses in pathology for analyzing bone.

The glass surfaces are free from dust, scratches, fungus and element separation.
