This SMZU has been fully serviced and is in perfect operating condition. It zooms in a straight line and the optics are in perfect alignment. All optical components are clean, free from dust, scratches, fungus, and element separations.  The two color lighted pointer works perfectly by means of a joy stick control.  All mechanical operations are at factory specifications.  This is truly a fine piece of research-grade optical equipment.  The 2000 Nikon catalog listed the price of what you see in the pictures at close to $18,000!  This unit does not come with an illuminator, however our company stocks co-axial illuminators for on-axis illumination, fiber optic light illuminators, and standard ring lights compatible with this microscope at extra charge.
