This lens has only been removed from original packing to photograph and has never been mounted on a microscope.  It is intended to be used on Nikon LV series of microscopes and other modular applications.  The objective was developed specially for LCD inspection, that enables the observation of a clear image under the coverglass.  The current Nikon product number is MUE50900 with a list price of $5,004.00. Specifications are:  numerical aperture 0.80, working distance 1.1mm and depth of focus 0.61mm.  This objective is very rare.
