This is a 170mm tube length system that focuses correctly and gives nice reflected light and transmitted images.  All controls move nicely, having been professionally lubricated and cleaned recently.  The simple pol gives very good extinction.  All glass surfaces are free from fungus, dust and element separations.  We are selling this as a reflected light inspection microscope, but is capable of transmitted microscopy by moving the illuminator lamp socket to the lower position.  If greater magnification in the transmitted mode is needed and objectives added, then a substage condenser will also have to be added.  This is an ideal microscope for industrial inspection.
