American Optical legendary quality, all metal parts and close tolerance construction. This hard to find pol scope is fully reconditioned and has a lot of life left. The images are clear and the polarization feature produces stunning colors in the reflections of light on our sample slides. The static pol filter flips into the field of view between the head and frame (above the objectives) and a rotating disk-mounted pol filter on the field lense (below the condenser) completes the simple polarization process. This scope includes the newer style built-in halogen illuminator (6V 20W). Optics are 10x, 20x, 40x achromat objectives and 10x wide field eyepieces.
